Meet Christine and Philip
In April, Dynamo launched its Make Waves graduate internship programme. Little did we know we would be so blown away by the standard of applicants. After careful consideration Dynamo are thrilled to welcome two brand new faces to the team.
We’re so excited to have Christine Akinrinde and Philip Towell join us. Both have just completed their degrees in Visual Communication at DIT.
Christine loves the combination of creativity and problem solving, which is why she feels that design is a natural fit for her. In her final year, Christine was part of the DIT graduate exhibition team and loved being able to see the whole project come together after months of hard work. “Working on that project was a huge opportunity to see my work come to life and it really gave me the motivation to continue pursuing design. It was such a rewarding feeling seeing all of our hard work pay off at the end of the project.”
Philip’s interest in design began with redesigning airplane logos as a child, which quickly turned into gig posters and t-shirts for friends. The thrill of seeing his work in print prompted Philip to return to college as a mature student to study in DIT. Philip also worked on the DIT graduate exhibition team focusing on the DIT’s first ever graduate website which showed the work of over 120 students. Philip is also an avid football fan, LEGO master builder and craft beer aficionado.
We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who applied and we’re confident the future of Irish design is in great hands.
Welcome and best of luck to Christine and Philip, we know you’re both going to be Dynamite!
