Lambay wins at Kinsale
We are thrilled to announce that Dynamo has won a prestigious silver Kinsale Shark Award in the International Brand Category, in recognition of our work to create the Lambay Whiskey brand for Camus Wines and Spirits.
Our brief to create a masterbrand and packaging for a new whiskey in a crowded and growing market was no mean feat, and we identified a need to design distinction and stand out while retaining the oh-so important quality cues that are synonymous with Irish Whiskey. Using references and stories of eccentricity from the island it is inspired by, along with a poetic, Jules Verne and Oscar Wilde creative approach, we brought the brand to life around a platform of ‘An Odyssey of Oddity’. The aim was to balance old world eccentricity and a new, disruptive design approach through bold use of colour and iconography. Developing a toolkit of strong semiotics was vital to ensure success in ever more darkening markets.
